Effective Category Management Focus to Deliver MORE

Tuesday, October 11, 2016 - 00:00

Procurement organizations are increasingly asked to deliver MORE – more hard dollar savings, greater confidence in supply, higher quality, better service from suppliers and innovative new ideas.  Leading organizations institute a Category Management approach to procurement to address the need for more.  However, a number of organizations that implement category management fail to generate the long-term and sustainable benefits that are possible.

This presentation will discuss the critical success factors required for an effective and efficient Category Management-driven procurement organization.  The transition to a Category Management focus requires the right direction setting and governance, sound and consistent work processes and supporting enablers.  We will discuss each of these, in order to highlight how to sustain and scale your Category Management organization.
