Our client, a regional leader in their industry, has engaged our firm to place a talented Supplier Diversity professional focused on supporting the procurement efforts to increase equity and inclusion. This position can be based in the Baltimore or DC metro area. This newly created role reporting into the Director of Operations offers the opportunity to develop a strategy and implement outreach plans to increase opportunities for diverse firms including small and local business, women and minority owned business (MWBE) and service-disabled veteran owned businesses (SDVOB). The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal and communication skills proven in a highly-regulated and collaborative environment.
Responsibilities/Qualifications:
Work closely with Sourcing category leads to establish category strategies, identify qualified suppliers and achieve specific quantitative targets regarding spend with diverse suppliers
Develop, monitor and report KPI results, which support the supplier diversity strategy
Experience using automated, P2P and Contracting software; preference if have worked with Ariba
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field is required
1-3 years of relevant experience in some combination of MWBE and/or SDVOB, non-profit organization, data analysis, business administration, procurement, information technology, government or healthcare-related field
