Job Summary:

We have an exciting role for a Procurement Sustainability Analyst to join the Procurement Sustainability team at bp. Reporting to the Procurement Sustainability Senior Manager, you will play a key role in enabling the ambition for procurement to develop a more sustainable supply chain in alignment with the bp sustainability frame across net zero, people and planet agendas. You will develop and lead deliverables with other subject matter experts to deliver impactful change and embed sustainability into all aspects of how we work.

Job Description:

Let me tell you about the role

  • The opportunity to work on projects which make tangible progress towards delivering our procurement sustainability agenda across Net Zero, People and Planet frame
  • Play an active role in building the sustainability infrastructure across procurement, including capability and culture development, deploying the right digital tools, and embedding sustainability into our processes and leading continuous improvements for sustainability monitoring and reporting
  • Support procurement teams to embed sustainability goals within their supply strategies and supplier partnerships in line with bp business sustainability aims
  • Identify and encourage collaboration opportunities internally and externally to test and grow ideas
  • Support procurement sustainability subject matter experts to communicate progress, success stories and lessons learnt across the organisation

What you will deliver

  • Genuine passion for developing sustainability as a discipline in procurement and supply chains
  • Ability to drive change and challenge the status-quo, seeking out and promoting best-practices within this developing field
  • Experience in change management, procurement, category lifecycle, supplier management and/or contract management
  • Strong interpersonal, collaborative and influencing skills with an ability to communicate at all levels; both written and verbal
  • Curiosity and a drive for continuous learning

You will work with

  • A diverse and passionate team within our central procurement function, led by a CPO with a genuine drive and accountability to embed sustainability within the business
  • Subject matter experts from all bp’s businesses including Resilient Hydrocarbons, Convenience and Mobility and Low carbon energy
  • Other procurement and bp sustainability teams as required in support of bp’s sustainability strategy
