A Day in the Life...
Responsible for managing the procurement process, ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing of professional services, software and hardware etc. within the Technology category.
Negotiating contracts, managing supplier relationships, and optimizing sourcing and purchasing strategies to achieve cost savings and maintain quality standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align procurement activities with business objectives.
Help build a high-achieving supply chain and provide sourcing support across the Cooperative.
Builds and executes strategies related to the assigned indirect categories/commodities to support aggressive improvements in total cost effectiveness, supplier quality, enhanced service levels, supply chain continuity, delivery, pricing, lead-times, payment, including a strong emphasis on creating, nurturing, and enhancing supplier relationships while focusing on mitigating risk.
Executes category sourcing strategies including development and execution of RFI’s and RFP’s, develops selection criteria and drives the selection of suppliers in collaboration with cross-functional teams; conducts supplier negotiations and contracting, and coordinates with stakeholders on program implementation and ongoing supplier management.
Develops and maintains a highly effective collaborative working relationship with leadership and cross- functional partners as it relates to strategy development for innovation, productivity, quality, service, and continuous improvement.
Actively seeks opportunities to streamline business processes.
Researches and provides information on category/commodity trends and best practices.
Develops negotiation strategies, gains alignment from stakeholders, leads cross-functional, category-based negotiation teams, and implements appropriate risk analysis.
What We Are Looking For
Bachelor’s Degree required with 5-7 of relevant Technology Sourcing experience
Specific experience in strategic sourcing, contract negotiations and supplier relationship management within the Technology/IT category including SaaS agreements
Exposure to/working knowledge of SAP/Oracle and Procure-to-Pay (P2P)/Source-to-Pay (S2P) solutions
Strong leadership and communication skills
Excellent Analytical and Negotiation skills
Ability to work within and meet stringent deadlines
