Summary

The Avetta Principal, Procurement Supply Chain Management primary role is in support of pre-sales process for our field sales team focused on serving our enterprise and mid-market clients globally while acting as the senior subject matter expert for the organization within the PSCM discipline. This role combines consultative selling, solution and advisory support, and client-facing relationship building. Required to understand customer goals and challenges, positioning Avetta as the solution leader. Responsible for actively supporting the sales and account management team during the sales or expansion cycle. The ideal candidate must be creative and innovative in sales situations and viewed as a credible advisor to clients and prospects, architecting solutions to address Procurement and Supply Chain leaders' organizational goals. Candidates must have exceptional communications skills (both verbal and written), ability to deliver and support presentations, be a self-starter, and have international Procurement Supply Chain Management (PSCM) experience.

Activities of this position include building relationships with prospects, current clients, the sales team product partners, and internal marketing/GTM. Deliver clear and concise advice and thought leadership during presentations, demonstrations, webinars, and conference events. Expert ability to utilize experiential knowledge and use cases while communicating with PSCM leaders. Proficient in articulating solutions to support risk mitigations for customer supply chains. The Principal will act as the organizations external facing expert for all matters PSCM, representing Avetta as a dynamic and engaging corporate ambassador. This will include client virtual and in person engagements, marketing events, client conferences, virtual webinars, etc.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Act as SME for PSCM for the Organization.
  • Provide thought leadership and innovative solution design, while interfacing with PSCM leaders.
  • Lead technical discussions with Procurement and Supply Chain professionals.
  • Support development of marketing content for PSCM clients.
  • Act as an expert on competitive advantage specific to PSCM.
  • Understand key regional players and how they are positioned.
  • Provide expert SME support by attending conferences, industry groups, roadshows, and client­ driven affairs.
  • Design and lead industry round table groups to identify and solve PSCM related business challenges.
  • Engage with current and prospective customers to identify and develop new and expansion opportunities.
  • If a speaker is required at an event, the Principal may be appointed to act as the primary voice for Avetta's solutions.
  • Participate in team events, weekly sales forecast calls, internal product release reviews, sales enablement trainings and any additional group meetings deemed appropriate by leadership.
  • Perform additional assigned tasks as directed.
  • Willingness to travel (domestic and international).
  • Flexibility to occasionally operate outside of standard hours, if required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in various PSCM roles to include leadership.
  • Bachelor's Degree Required.
  • Proficient with Supply Chain Risk Management Systems.
  • Expertise with Contractor Lifecycle Management.
  • Expertise with Supplier Relationship Management.
  • Expertise with Strategic Category Management.
  • Proficient with Supply Chain Sustainability.
  • Proficient with Ethical Sourcing Management.
  • Proficient with Supply Chain Risk Management.
  • Proficient with Spend Analytics and Impact Evaluations.
  • Ability to create and present information that is informative, comprehensive and targeted.
  • Exceptional communication skills, including oral, written, and non-verbal communication.
  • Experience with technical writing, risk management, national and international supply chains.
  • Proficiency in the use of various computer applications, including Access, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Web Conferencing Software (e.g. Zoom, WebEx, etc.).
  • Proficient Knowledge - SAP Ariba, SAP Fieldglass, Oracle, etc.
