Solutions for Disinfecting Portable Devices in Patient Healthcare

We are trying to figure out what medical devices and/or products are available for protecting and disinfecting any portable electronic devices that come into contact with the patient or the patient's environment. Per our company protocols, any handheld devices should be disinfected upon removal from the patient environment.

We know that numerous clinical interventions are deployed to reduce Healthcare Associated Infections (HAI) but the threat is exacerbated by the increasing use of mobile devices. Eighty percent of doctors report using their tablets and smart phones while treating patients (patient records, image transfer, patient interaction, dictation). These devices harbor infectious microorganisms and contaminate healthcare practitioners' hands 93.7% of the time. From these wonderful caring hands - germs are transferred to patients.

We are looking for any sort of mechanical dispenser systems that rapidly encase a wide variety of mobile devices in a clean, formfitting, plastic disposable sleeve that will not compromise device functionality (touch screen; camera, etc.).
