Patricia Adams is Senior Director of Third Party Oversight and Supplier Diversity at Equifax, Inc. In this role within the company’s Global Sourcing Office, she helps establish standards to ensure that due diligence and contracting requirements, along with governance and compliance activities, are in effect for engagements with vendors. In 2017, Pat designed and implemented the Equifax Supplier Diversity Program to create a fair opportunity for minority-owned and women-owned businesses to compete for procurement of goods and services. Her background includes over twenty-five years in the financial services industry with extensive experience in Regulatory & Compliance, Vendor Management, Strategic Planning, and Expense Management. Pat spent most of her career with MetLife in various management roles; then worked as a Compliance Consultant for Morgan Stanley before moving to Equifax in 2016. She began her career with a top national Public Accounting firm.
Pat earned a Master of Business Administration with a Management concentration from Hofstra University in Hempstead New York; and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Public Accounting from Pace University in New York City. She also holds the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation and is a Fellow, Life Management Institute (FLMI).
In 2004, Pat was honored with the Black Achievers in Industry Award from the Harlem YMCA, recognizing her accomplishments in corporate America. She is a long standing member of the National Association of Black Accountants, Inc. and served on the Board of the organization’s New York Chapter. Pat was also Chairperson of Career Opportunities in the Accounting Profession (COAP), a group affiliated with the New York State Society of CPAs focused on introducing high school students to the accounting and financial profession.
With a focus on providing resources to underprivileged children in underserved communities, Pat co-founded the organization “Grenada Alumni” to assist her native Grenada, a small Caribbean island. In 2015 she created two educational initiatives – a national Read Across Day for elementary students, and the Paving a Path Forward Mentorship Program for high school students. Over the past three years Pat has directly led the sourcing and distribution of 50,000 leisure books to children in Grenada. She currently serves as Co-Chair of the organization.
Pat’s success with launching the Equifax Supplier Diversity Program led to the company receiving nominations for “Local Corporation of the Year” and “Rising Star” 2017 Awards from the Georgia Minority Supplier Development Council (GMSDC). She is a member of the GMSDC Supplier Diversity Leadership Council and has also been a featured speaker for the Greater Women’s Business Council (GWBC) Tables of 8 Luncheon event, in Atlanta, GA. Equifax recognized Pat’s contributions in 2017 with the Global Sourcing Office’s “Above and Beyond” Award.
