George Kattner is Vice President, Indirect Procurement at Ecolab, the global leader in water, hygiene and energy technologies and services that protect people and vital resources.
In Kattner’s current role, he provides leadership, direction and the development of the strategy and execution for global indirect spend. He’s responsible for delivering annual savings targets and value capture through category strategy, stakeholder management and organizational leadership. Category responsibility includes areas of Logistics, Manufacturing, CapEx, Facilities, IT, Car Fleet, Human Resources, Professional Services & Travel.
Previously, Kattner held the role of Procurement Director for Asia Pacific and Greater China, where he built and managed the overall procurement function comprised of Direct Raw Materials & Packaging, Indirect & Services, Equipment, Compliance Systems & Process and Best Cost Country Sourcing responsibilities.
Prior to Kattner’s International assignment, he was Director of Procurement Integration, overseeing the merger of Ecolab and Nalco. Kattner’s earlier roles at Ecolab include various Procurement Divisional and Category Management roles as well as Business Marketing.
Prior to joining Nalco in 2002, Kattner worked in the consulting industry. He graduated from DePaul University with a B.A. in Finance & Economics and graduated from Rutgers University with an MBA.
