Stakeholder Engagement has shifted greatly over the last few years. We used to talk about partnership as being the main component of a strong relationship; however, the skill set, and the role procurement plays in stakeholder engagement has drastically changed. Procurement must have a different approach - continuous education, driving innovation, upscaling finance skills, taking a more central role in the relationship and helping the business get to the next level, are just a few components of the change that needs to happen. Procurement’s traditional tasks will become automated.
