How TIAA Strategic Sourcing & Procurement created online "ordering" and self-service tracking tools to standardize requests, improve communication, increase transparency, and reduce administrative burden. Using robotic process automation (RPA) in conjunction with other systems, the TIAA Strategic Sourcing & Procurement team was able to completely transform our intake process and create an automated tracking system for contracts. Business partners can now utilize an online form to submit requests for supplier goods and services, resulting in a consistent experience for the submitter and actionable, reportable data for the sourcing team. By leveraging existing tools and the skillsets of our sourcing team, we were also able to provide a low-cost, self-service contract status tracking solution that provides detailed information such as milestones reached and outstanding items requiring completion.
