This position can be based in the Baltimore or DC metro area. This newly created role offers the opportunity to create a Vendor Management Office with a highly collaborative team committed to mitigating risk and improving vendor performance. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail and direct management experience proven in a highly-regulated environment.
Responsibilities/Qualifications:
Build and led the establishment of a vendor management office by providing long term vision and execution strategies from hiring/training talent to driving VMO initiatives
8+ years of experience within the healthcare or other regulated industry experience that may include client relationship management, strategy, planning, vendor management, consulting, strategic sourcing, supply management and procurement
6+ years of experience building, managing and/or developing high-performing teams
Thorough knowledge of vendor management best practices and trends
Proven experience in successfully leading a team in the management of vendors/third parties, including, but not limited to, policies, performance, vendor risk, relationships, contracts, and issue and dispute resolution
