Tony currently serves as the Senior Vice President & Global Chief Procurement Officer of Cigna. Since joining Cigna in 2010, Tony has lead Global Procurement & Third Party Management (GP&TPM), and his approach to developing and nurturing executive relationships across Cigna's global C-suite has resulted in the organization’s journey to becoming a collaborative, world-class procurement and third party relationship management organization.
Under Tony’s leadership, GP&TPM manages Cigna's approximately 8,000 suppliers and $5.1 billion in annual spend across 31 countries.
Tony began his career at General Electric (GE), graduating from their Financial Management Program, and went on to hold various finance and procurement leadership roles within the services industry at Fidelity Investments, AIG, The Hartford Insurance Company, United Healthcare, and Travelers Insurance.
Since 2012, Tony has served as a member of the Board of Directors of the North Central Connecticut & Western Massachusetts chapter of JDRF and formerly at The Mark Twain House in Hartford, CT. He previously held the position of Treasurer of the Board of the United Business & Industry Federal Credit Union. Tony maintains affiliations with procurement industry associations including Procurement Leaders, the Sourcing Interests Group, Procurement 50, as well as the Institute for Supply Management.
Tony earned his Bachelor’s degree from Bentley University, and his Master of Business Administration degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
