Job Description

We are seeking an experienced sales professional focused on engaging new middle market/enterprise-level prospects in a consultative sales process. Your success will be measured in your ability to engage, understand, educate and persuade these prospects, closing business commensurate with the company’s revenue goals. 

The successful candidate must have excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills and be comfortable working in a very fast paced environment. Teamwork is key to coordinate customer-focused activities internally within the organization.  This role requires you to be a self-starter with a strong bias for action. 

Responsibilities 

  • Develop and maintain prospect account plans for winning and expanding business with middle market and enterprise companies.  
  • Gain an in depth understanding of the buyer’s journey including current solution and technology footprint/landscape, customer pains, competitive landscape, and industry trends. 
  • Develop trusted adviser relationships with Business Decision Makers by understanding customer business pains, requirements, strategic growth objectives, industry trends and providing business-value-outcome-based solutions 
  • Discover, assess, evaluate, and challenge strategic customer objectives by translating them into sourcing automation opportunities that leverage Part Analytics 
  • Be a disciplined operator by maintaining a rolling pipeline, keeping it current and in accurate stages. Leverage marketing, inside sales, partners and your relationship network to build pipeline 
  • Support and leverage all sales promotions, sales events and sales strategies to close opportunities 
  • Create compelling business value outcome backed proposals, negotiate terms and contracts with successful close 
  • Own and deliver on revenue targets.  

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years of B2B Software sales experience (must be domain software experience) 
  • Consistent and proven track record of achieving / exceeding sales quota 
  • Expertise in managing multi-stakeholder sales cycles and closing large deals 
  • Focused on selling business value to Procurement and Business stakeholders using ROI and TCO models, rather than competing on “features & functions” 
  • Equally successful at engaging with all levels in an organization (bottom up & top down)  
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Ability to work independently and to collaborate effectively across functions. 
  • Ability to analyze and breakdown complex situations, develop action plans to achieve key objectives 
  • Ability to develop authentic, professional relationships with client counterparts and internal constituents. Trustworthiness is essential. 
  • Creative, resourceful, detail-oriented, and highly organized 
  • Proactive : The ability to solve problems and overcome challenges -- not outline them for someone else to solve. 
  • Supply Chain, Procurement, Sourcing domain experience is desired 
  • Start-up experience or exposure to a small, entrepreneurial environment is a plus 
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required
